29 weeks

I am 29 weeks pregnant today. 77 more days to go. Time seems to be flying all the sudden. We are going to have a baby in about 2 1/2 months! Holy crap!

valentines surprise

Last week I asked Keith what he wants to do for Valentines day- go out or stay home. He wanted to stay home and have lasagna. I liked the idea- going to a restaurant on that day is more stressful then anything else to me anyway.
He got home just before 7 and we were about to start eating dinner. The doorbell rang and in come four guys in tuxedoes! I knew right away what was going on. Keith surprised me with the vocal majority (well 4 of the 160)!! They asked for me, gave me a rose, a CD and a card and then they sang 2 songs. I was bawling the whole time. It took me forever to get my composure back. Wow!! That was truely a surprise and by far the most romantic thing Keith has done for me. I was really touched. I love you Keith.

amazing story

On tuesday after small group Melody told me about this picture and Nathon found it for me. It's pretty amazing, but read for yourself:

Unborn baby grabs doctor's hand from inside the womb

A picture began circulating a couple years ago. It should have been "The Picture of the Year," or perhaps, "Picture of the Decade." For reasons you can probably figure out, it wasn't. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the US paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it.
The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb. During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile. The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity.
The editors titled the picture, "Hand of Hope." The text explaining the picture begins, "The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life."
Little Samuel's mother said they "wept for days" when they saw the picture. She said, "The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person." Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful. Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome...incredible....and hey, pass it on. The world needs to see this one!

P.S. Don't tell me God isn't awesome!!!!!

glucose test

After so many people told me how gross the glucose test is, I was surprised that I didn't mind the drink at all. It was just very sweet. Even drawing the blood was fine.

While I was waiting for my hour to go by I saw my co-worker Heather. She was there for a check up and it was her actual due date! Just a few hours later her baby boy Logan was born! I got to hang out with them for a few hours on friday afternoon. He is so adorable. Here he is:
